Let me back track a few days to Monday….B and I had our first Ride Class together!!! Again!
It was B’s first class after having both his hip’s replaced in May so this is HUGE!!! He loved it and was so glad to get back on the bike, everyone was welcoming and asking him questions as to where he had been, hardly anyone knew of his surgeries. When they did find out, and class was over they all clapped and told him that the first one was over and they all expected to see him in there 3/4 times a week now. I love that he is loved by our fellow riders.
I worked out with Kev on Wednesday…oh how he loves pain! He loves to teach, not only do I get in a good workout I get an educated workout, he explains everything right down to muscle groups you are working and why, good nutritional benefits…oh he lives for this, it truly is his calling…and I have homework! I have an exercise routine I must follow till I see him for Boot Camp on Saturday morning. I love him, thanks Kev!

I still love my new/old gym. I was back there today for my second Ride Class this week, I love them!!!! The instructor I had today is the best and she knows it, in a good way…she was very welcoming and made it the great class I remembered. I still can’t believe that I am back there…Hubby will be joining me tomorrow for some strength training. I am on the fence about taking another Ride Class this week, not that I’m in pain or anything but they only offer one more at 8am and we are slated to get hit by Hanna tomorrow and my puppies hate big rain/thunder storms so I may stay with them and just go in the afternoon with hubby. I managed to eat very well today…Breakfast was granola and lunch was chicken and corn and potatoes, dinner was the same, so not a bad day. I was not able to sleep today no matter how much I tried and boy did I try, but to no avail. I am hoping to get a few hours tomorrow, ahh my last night on and then I have 3 whole days off, 3 glorious days off.

No Boot Camp as Kevin is off to the Boston College Football game.
That’s why I was considering a Ride Class

While I loved my last gym, I have returned to my old one, my favorite gym. We left so that hubby could get all his rehab in and I could be there to help him, but he is officially cleared for everything again at the gym so we have returned to our favorite place. I decided that there was no time like the present and attended my very favorite class… RIDE. I had 55 minutes of pure sweat and burning leg pain and I LOVE every minute of it, I forgot how much I loved Ride Class and I caught up with some old friends from long ago, I had the best day, the best workout…today was the beginning of my 4 Ride Classes a week schedule.

I ran my 5K on Sunday and I completed it in respectable time!!! I love getting the first one over with and get bitten by the running bug, now I can’t wait for the next….Columbus Day Tufts Women 10K in Boston!!!!!

Here’s a picture of my very best friend and personal trainer…notice the 4% body fat…He is in incredible shape

Circuit 3 = 20 each…(between each exercise we did running knee highs for 1 minute)

I feel great after all is said and done…going through it I was cursing him out (silently)
I LOVE the workouts he puts me through..
I love the challenge!!!
I love the one on one.
Thanks Kev…you owe me, big time…

Boot Camp Day 3

I made it to boot camp tonight and again it was agility drills and lots and lots of running. I again was the only one there so it was essentially one on one personal training day for ME.
I love when it is just me and Kevin. We talk, we share and he beats me up physically.
I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!
We ran sprints…
Karaoke’s
shuffles
suicides
leap frogged forward and backwards
side to sides
Alligator push up crawls
Stretched
It was a great night for training outside…did I mention we ran all these drills on sand and grass?
Oh my calves are going to feel it tomorrow, but it was a great leg and cardio workout.
I will be joining him again on Saturday for more fun, fun, fun.
I missed Tuesday’s class because I was in a car accident. We are fine but sore.
Kevin really helped me on that one, hee hee.

I have boot camp homework…I have to do Boot Camp 2’s workout at my gym in the morning…
3 times through for 1 minute each…16 exercises…ahh, I can feel the pain already, but I love it….
Bring it on!

I have my first 5K race on the season coming up on Sunday August 24th, I can’t wait.
I received in the mail today the paperwork for our local 5 mile run in September,
all hills, I love this one!! (Brian’s Gift Memorial Run)

Boot Camp Day 2…or should I say personal training one on one. I was the only one who showed up for bootcamp tonight so I got Kevin all to myself, NOT FUN! I arrive and warm up on the treadmill for 10 minutes and he says lets go have some fun..I should have known then to run, run like I have never run before head straight for the door no stopping, did I? NO…so here is what Kevin deems fun:
All exercises were done for one minute each, as fast as you can….rotation was repeated 3 times through
Birpies (stand, squat, push legs back, jump up)
Push ups
Sit ups
Box jumps
Double legs run ups (run up on a step using both feet before coming back down)
Plank
Jump rope
Jumping jacks
Tricep dips with bench
Squat jumps
Lateral double tap shoulder extensions
Bicep curls
Mountain climbers
Squat jumping jacks
Lateral side to side jumps
High steps
Stretching and drive home…collapse on bed for 30 minutes, get up and get ready for work…EXHAUSTED!!!
After all was said and done I had a great time..I completed everthing put before me and I SURVIVED!!!

Finally Boot camp has arrived!!!!
I was so excited for 6 pm to arrive that I tried really hard to get in a nap this afternoon but I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep; not good as I had to work tonight @10pm. But I finally realized that sleep wasn’t happening around 4pm and I got up and watched some TV…I know really productive. I noticed the minutes ticking away til finally it was 5:20pm..yeah time to get dressed and leave for the gym, mind you the gym was 25 minutes away..I got there at 5:40..I was a nervous fast driver…
I arrived at the gym only to not find Kevin’s car in the parking lot, so I called him and he met me at the door, what a nice gentleman. He had us (me and Rachael) warm up on the treadmill…then it was off to the basketball court out back….
Then HELL began, we did running, sprinting and push up drill for the next 40 minutes. Aah this was hell and the pain IS going to set in I can feel it already, my legs are tight and I can feel that if I don’t get up and walk around they are going to be SORE in the morning. I am going to the gym in the morning with B, so I can’t afford to be sore.
But I can definitely tell I am going to hate walking down stairs tomorrow…OUCH!
I stocked up on Ibuprofen and ice packs, they will come in handy tomorrow.

4 days and counting…Boot camp starts in 4 days!!!!
Can’t wait, I’m running tomorrow…abs and legs when I finally wake up (work midnights)
Woo hoo 4 days!!!
